I used it with the Strainer X winch instead of the ratchets that come with the pack (2 chains running running from the winch to the strainenumber ofr board) and it worked well, the trick being consistent tension along the strainer board and that is easy given the 12 holes available. And it could be that 2 winches would over-complicate things. Overall, the wish list must be the West Ender and its foot plus 2 ratchets especially if 2m but so far I'm doing well enough to avoid buying the in-line strainers to patch up problems from using the strainer board, which may not be a bad result for a first time fencer.
Indispensable, and very happy with design because it is easy to read
It is far better than trying to keep the strainer walker going , e.g. links dropping or moving away just before tightening happens

Easy to use, your not stuffing around trying to find a tension gauge, it’s always right there where you need it. Really good for training new staff.
We added Jack the Gripper to our old wire strainers and it has made tensioning so much easier.
Doesn't slip. Doesn't fall off. Don't have to hold onto it or put your hands near it once its on. Doesnt need beating with a hammer to get it off. Well made Jaws are tough and pins are made properly. Very easy to use with small come along.
